I have no clue about what it was like to bet at Gilman street back in the days when Cringer, Green Day, Mr. T Expereince played there, but I would have loved to have been a part of that scene back then. I am 29 now...old and shitty, plus education makes you a bit cynical...totally sarcastic there. I do have to say I love this site, cause I lost all my vinyl back a few years in a fire. Lost all my colored vinyls.....cleaning brushes, etc.. and an awesome teac player. Anyways, I love this site, this site kicks ass!! All these great songs digital.....woohoo!! Living here in New York the only scenes going on here were the Hardcore, Lower east side groups Yuppicide, Nausea, 2 1/12 children, couch trip etc... Born Against etc.... Wasn't all that big a fan of their sound, loved the cal punk bands more. ok enough rambling from me...take care peoples.

It's taking over everywhere, man. I'm in Pittsburgh, and the emo-goth trend is completely evident. Even some of the preppies are getting into the poseur emo bands like Taking Back Sunday (even though I see no difference between them and regular emo shit). It's horrible. Yay for another reason for high schoolers to feign depression! |
