Hey, you got mentioned in the pink section (Datebook) of the Sunday SF Comical:
Quote: | Yet another site dedicated to bringing the vintage Berkeley punk scene to the digital age is out there: South of Gilman St. (gilman.duckpond.net) features MP3s and streaming radio along with back story on many of the featured bands, which include such intriguing entries as Aerobitch and the Kung Fools ....

Hey, neat-o! My 15 minutes!
I have to admit having to look up "Aerobitch" and "Kung Fools" - they both appear once, in large comps.
Hope people who come here aren't put off expecting to download MP3s - dunno where the writer got that from.

Well, you can always save yourself by telling someone "Oh, there's mp3's... you just gotta know where to look." We can all give irrelivant hints to mislead them into looking places, like "In Album Scan Number 7, you may find mp3 heaven!" |

It just reminds me of my long-standing promise to digitize a Crimpshrine show at Gilman I once taped.
Grr, one of these days (I have to borrow a tape player!). |

I just want to say hi and I was the bass player for the Kung Fools. My friend sent me the link about our mention in the SF thing. We actual had a two more songs released on two more comps. We ended sometime in 1997 and now after 8 years, our 7 inch just came out on Super Scenes. http://www.littletype.com/group-detail.php?item_group_id=2301 |

I'm gonna look through here and see if I can find how long it says that I've been a member. My guess is sparatically through 2 or 3 years.
Every once in a while I remember that this is on my favorites and pay a visit.
I just dont have the time..
